 The Evergreen Campus

Loyola University Maryland is a college located right outside the heart of Baltimore, MD. Loyola recently tied for 6th place in the “Best Regional Universities North” list in U.S. News & World Report's 2025 “Best Colleges” ranking. The student body has a wide variety of races and ethnicity’s, about 64% of the students are White, 13% African Americans, 12% Hispanic/Latino, 5% Asian, and 5% of other races. Not only is the student body diverse, but so are the faculty and staff. Many of the professors come from different parts of the world each with unique backgrounds and experiences. Each of these professors' backgrounds create a more well rounded and unique space for the students to learn from.

Loyola also offers lots of diverse experiences from traveling abroad to all parts of the world, to Asian feasts offered by the Asian Cultural Alliance club. Loyola is always looking for ways to bring more diverse experiences for the students to immerse themselves in. They offer many clubs that educate students on all races and cultures. That was one of the main reasons I chose to attend Loyola. The university is more than welcoming to all and creates a safe space for all people from different backgrounds. They have countless resources and clubs to get involved with around campus that teach students about the importance of diversity and inclusion. Not to mention that while these clubs are mainly student focused, they also have a faculty member in charge so not only is the student body involved with student life, but so are the faculty and staff! The environment surrounding the evergreen campus is welcoming, loving, and supportive to all. Loyola has helped me embrace my culture, appreciate who I am and where I come from, and strive to do the same for others.
